Background
Founded by James R. Von Ehr II in 1997, Zyvex was the first
molecular nanotechnology company. Von Ehr’s business
acumen, determination, and financial support have enabled
Zyvex to become the most publicized private nanotechnology
business in the world and the most highly regarded company
in the field of molecular assemblers. Von Ehr himself is widely
respected as one of the world’s top nanotechnology industry
leaders.
Zyvex Instruments’ vision is to help our customers
understand the world at a different scale — and unlock
new technologies for the future. We provide tools, instrumentation,
and applications to serve the semiconductor and advanced research
markets.
Our staff is focused on both short and long-term nanotechnology
applications with high-growth potential to guarantee our success
as a driving force in our field.
Our potential customer base includes all manufacturing and
assembly industries. The company is targeting specific applications
in the Aerospace/Defense, Electronics/Semiconductor, and Medical/HealthCare
industries. Our short- to intermediate-term goal is to exploit
the major improvements—often 10–1,000 times better
than existing technology—offered by today’s early-stage
nanotechnology developments.
Zyvex also has three other sister companies, which were spun
out of the original corporation in April 2007: Zyvex
Performance Materials, Zyvex
Labs, and Zyvex
Asia.
Zyvex is one of the few firms that generate revenue and is
regarded as a nanotechnology business — as evidenced
by continual invitations to speak at the country’s top
business schools. To see a complete timeline of our progress,
